How to spice up a neutral space

A room with a neutral color or style does not have to be boring. In fact, neutral spaces can play an essential role in interior design—neutrality can balance out bold elements, appeal to a wide variety of tastes, or do both at the same time. This is why this template is often used for businesses and even in personal homes. There are a number of ways that you can spice up a space while maintaining its neutrality:

Accent colors

Accent colors are a great way to make a neutral room more exciting. If you are trying keep things simple but want to add some stronger elements, decorating with accent colors may be the way to go. If you have a lot of white, black, brown, cream, or other neutral colors, don’t be afraid to add some elements with bolder or pastel colors. Fun colors can add energy and personality to a room with minimal effort and redecorating.

Decorative glass whiteboards make it easy to add accents. You can color match or chose from an exciting array of colors to order for your glass whiteboard. Imagine a bright orange or blue whiteboard against your white reception area’s wall, or whatever colors match your company logo. You can even order signage or other templates printed on your board, adding another interesting element to a neutral room.

Room accessories

Sometimes color is not the only way to spice up a neutral room. You can transform a room just by adding an interesting visual piece—you don’t need bold colors if you accessorize with something stylish that takes most of the focus of the room, such as an ornate end table or a beautiful clear glass dry erase board. The design of these boards is simple yet sophisticated, meaning you can add an interesting and stylish piece without being too distracting or loud, keeping things basic within the neutral theme. You can use dry erase markers to write a greeting, fun fact of the day, or other interesting comments to entertain guests in your waiting room or greet party guests into your living room.

Mixing function and Style

A great way to make a neutral room more interesting is by taking an element that is necessary for the room and making it stylish, whether it be ordering some fun coasters or trading that drab whiteboard for a hip glass whiteboard. If you take advantage of a function by making it stylish, you create an element that is not overwhelming and fits into your neutral décor.
