Clarus Glassboards™ to Open Chicago Merchandise Mart Location

Clarus Glassboards is proud to announce its new permanent showroom location in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart – a destination many call the center of the universe (at least in the furnishings world).

With a showroom presence, Clarus™ will expand its footprint nationally, demonstrating for architects, interior designers and facility managers the latest in innovative glass products for commercial environments. There’s a lot to see. And as Clarus further announces the Merchandise Mart opening at NeoCon 2016, there’s a lot to talk about.

From the cutting edge dual-purpose Flip™ product line which took home Interior Design’s Best of Year award late last year, to Clarus’ stunning evolution in the health care market, the brand has shown the same fusion of design, function and purpose that dominates many major market categories at NeoCon, the Merchndise Mart and throughout the A&D community.

The mammoth 4 million square foot building, the largest in the world when it opened in 1930, today hosts over 20,000 visitors per day. In fact, until 2008, the building had its own zip code – 60654. The 25 story landmark sits in Chicago’s Near North Side, the oldest neighborhood in the city. For a building as rich with history as the Merchandise Mart, its continuous usage stands as a testament to its place in Chicago’s architectural landscape. Today the building is host to more than just trade shows – the Holiday Inn Chicago Plaza River North hotel, offices of Ogilvy & Mather, Motorola Mobility, and the Chicago Sun-Times all call 222 Merchandise Mart Plaza home.
